Kate chuckled at Jess. She seemed to be in good spirits, and that’s what mattered. Kate was glad she was there for Jess to unload anything on, since Kate had unloaded on Jess for years. “I’ll be sure to do that,” she said with a smile. She then reclined and stretched her arms up, giving a big sigh while she was at it. She was tired, and stressed and wanted some decent sleep, but it just hadn’t been happening for her.
She was tempted to ask Jess if she could crash at her mother’s house, but that just wasn’t like her. She didn’t like asking for handouts, even from her best friend who was likely to do it without a moment’s pause. But, she kept her mouth shut, save for stuffing a few more fries in her mouth.

She had opened her mouth to say something when her phone started ringing which was enough to cause Jess to stop and look down at it. Holding her hand up she answered, furrowing her brow as she didn't recoginize the number at all.
"Hello ... No that's fine I can meet you there ... Well no that wouldn't a good time I'm in Charming right now, can we do it tomorrow afternoon?" Listening for a few seconds Jess made a face before she hung up. "So that was the Insurance Agent he wants to meet at the garage to have me sign the papers so they can get things moving. Apparently he doesnt' want to linger out there anymore than he has too."
Dropping a few bills down onto the table to pay for the drinks and the fries, Jess pushed herself up before she looked down at Kate and smiled. She hated doing this, she had intended to stay for a little longer than this but the guy was persistant about getting all of this done.
"I'll call you in a few days alright, be good and remember if anything good happens take notes for me."
