Name of Thread: The Widow and the Tramp Characters Involved in Thread: Rosie O'Cleary, Jess Nichols and Lucy O'Cleary(before she was taken) IC Month Thread Occured: June Brief Description of Thread: Rosie with her little sister Lucy, run into Jess in the store and whenever the older two woman meet, it's always a fun time. Especially, if there're pervs sitting at the other table. Wearing"Rosie, why do I have to go to the store with you again?" Lucy asked, whining as she looked out the window. Being the older sister, Rosie had to explain. "Because you're a pretty girl and you should be out and about. Not become a overly religious bible-beater shut in which I'm positive that Mary is by now, courtesy of Mom and Pop." She said, not wanting the same fate for her little sister, the only one that seemed to care about her enough to go to the other end of the country to be with. And whenever the others in the family were mentioned, it was like both of them were having flashbacks about them because there was always a awkward silence. "Anyway, I just want you to have a social life. Make friends, meet new people. Boyfriends." Rosie said, having a huge smile on her face when she said the last word. Lucy blushed, looking down as they pulled into the store parking lot. The two redheads got into the store and of course, the fifteen year old yet taller one ran over to where the makeup was in the store. It was a small department but, she would find something for both of them. Rolling her crystal blue eyes, she went to get the stuff they needed. Food. After getting about half the things on the list, Rosie was looking down at it when she felt the shopping cart stop and the handle bar hit her in the mid-section. "Ugh!" She groaned out, her hand holding her stomach. 'Thank God, I force those guys to use rubbers because a baby would end up with some serious brain damage.' She said to herself mentally, as she stood up straight to see what stopped the cart.

There were times Jess sowre that her mother was more than likely living on cat food under her brother's care, as when she had gotten to the house all that had been there had been four loaves of bread and a jar of unopened Nutella. As to what her mother was actually eating the brunette didn't know but she wasn't living on the current goods alone and as far as going home was concerned that wasn't going to happen either, hell for all she knew she didn't have a home and it had been burnt to the ground as well and they just hadn't told her. Muttering something under her breath she furrowed her brow before she tilted her head to the side and leaned down to read the back of a jar a pasta sauce.
The next thing she knew she felt something ramming into her and at first she was prepared to simply start yelling at whoever it was and telling them that they really needed to pay more attention, though she stopped when she spotted the head head before she smiled. "See I knew they needed to put stop lights in here or you were going to run over someone one of these days," she joked as she right herself and then pulled her hair out of her face.
She couldn't remember the last time that she had actually seen Rosie though Jess supposed that it fell somewhere around the last time that she had been in Charming visiting which had been nearly a year and a half ago or something like that. Who knew she buried herself in work and lost track of time and lost track of people because as Kate said she had no real social life outside of the garage. Blinking she bit down on her lower lip before she smiled again and then tilted her head to the side slightly.
"if you tell me you don't remember me I think I might have to throw something at your head Rosie O'Cleary," she joked.

Running her fingers through her red hair, Rosie brushed it to the side looking at the woman she ran into. She looked familiar but, she couldn't put her finger on it. Then, when the woman spoke it came back to her. Jess Nichols, last time she saw her was a year and a half ago. She was on the speechless side that's why, she didn't say anything. "if you tell me you don't remember me I think I might have to throw something at your head Rosie O'Cleary," Hearing that, she walked around the carts and went over to her with a smile. "No need too Jess, where have you been hiding? I haven't seen you in forever!" Rosie asked, hugging her. She couldn't remember if she was like this or not but still, if you haven't seen anyone in a while, they deserve a hug.
"Girl, when did you get back in town?" Rosie asked, her mind going nutso with questions. She was patient and waited.

"I was living in the Indian Hills for a while, but after seeing how Mom is living with Seth watching her I'm starting to think that her ranting about needing me to take care of her might not be far from the truth," Jess joked before she shook her head. Was she going to miss her friends and the family she had made there, yeah but the drive wasn't all that bad and she didn't mind heading that way occassionally so it wasn't a total loss. "Hi Lucy." Jess offered looking toward Rosie's little sister before she smiled at her again. "Have you guys had lunch or anything yet, we could talk for a while and I think I saw a cute waiter at that resteraunt across the street looked to be maybe a few years older than you Lucy."
Looking at the contents of her cart she shrugged her shoulders, it wasn't as if it wasn't things she couldn't come back and get later and to be honest she was going to need more than one cart is she was going to stock the fridge up to her liking. Although at the same time it wasn't like she planned on living with her mother forever, just until she figured out what she was going to do next.
"So how have you been?"

Rosie heard Jess mention her brother and nodded. Even though she's never met him, he seemed like a jerk from what she was being told. Lucy came up and smiled at Jess, waving before putting a hand held basket filled with make up in the cart. The older redhead looked at the younger one with a look, only for that to be returned. Shaking her head, she focused on her old friend. "Have you guys had lunch or anything yet, we could talk for a while and I think I saw a cute waiter at that restaurant across the street looked to be maybe a few years older than you Lucy." Rosie had to laugh when she saw Lucy blush for the tenth time today. "Perfect. Put your stuff in our cart, I just got paid so my treat." She said, with the usual soft yet sweet smile on her face.
Rosie always had an open heart and it would probably be her downfall because she was always so nice. With women she was. With men? It's a totally different story. "So how have you been?" Nodding, she smiled. "Good. Business is booming, of course. And as always, I'm sore afterwards if you know what I mean." She told Jess, with a nudge and a wink. Lucy heard what she said and sighed with a blush.

Putting the few items that she had in the cart Jess tilted her head to the side before she let out a laugh. "I really wouldn't know anything about that, it's been almost two uears since I've been sore," she joked, well alright she could laugh about it but it wasn't a joke, the woman had hit a dry spell in her love life since the death of her husband and she was ready for that to be over. However it seemed that there where those that didn't see the same benefits in a relationship that was based on their being friend and having sex as a good idea.
At this point she was wondering if going into the same line of rofession as Rosie might be the only way that she was going to find herself getting any action, but the thought of that made her blush a little. There was no way the woman could actually think about doing what her friend did, though she wished she was brave enough too sometimes.
Taking a few steps forward she paused before she turned around and then smiled. "So I supposed you heard what happened to Dad's garage huh?" If she hadn't heard she would have been shocked shit less and would have had to have lifted an eyebrow but news got around fast especially where the motorcycle clubs were concerned. "Oh girl do I have a story to tell you when we get lunch," Jess added.

Realizing what she said after saying it and hearing Jess' reaction, Rosie looked down biting her lip. "Right, I'm really sorry. But, I know how you feel. I was the same way after Danny was killed." She said, remembering how she was kind of out of it for a few weeks. Before she started getting the bills and everything, she had to snap out of it. Then, she had to laugh a bit, nudging her friend. "Funny how we both ended up with Biker men, huh?" She laughed, before looking at Lucy. "You're gonna be next at this rate." She told her, only to see the younger redhead move her hands in a no motion.
"So I supposed you heard what happened to Dad's garage huh?" Hearing that and remembering hearing it from one of the Sons, she nodded. "Yeah, I did." And as she said that, Lucy said that she didn't. She didn't hear about it because she didn't come with her to work and hang around. "Anyway, who would do that?" Rosie asked, as she and Lu started walking to the check out line. Then, a thought crossed her mind. Looking back at Jess, she gulped. "You think the Mayans..?" She trailed off, not wanting to say it out loud.
"Oh girl do I have a story to tell you when we get lunch," Rosie nodded, putting the stuff on the counter as fast as she could so, she could hear the story.

"Mayans," Jess replied before she shook her head, she was still bothered by the whole thing and had to make another trip up there over the weekend to see if there was anything salvagable. She wasn't looking forward but the last time she had gone, it had been late she had just wanted to see the damage and she supposed that she more than likely hadn't looked at it clearly and maybe it just wasn't as bad as what it had appeared. At least that was what she was hoping, that if she had been right that night there was going to be nothing left.
Though rather than seeing it has a breaking experince Jess was trying to see it as maybe a chance to start over and maybe a chance to do something useful and different. Granted what she was going to be doing was another story as she had absolutely no idea at all.
Shoving her hands into her pockets as she watched Rosie checking out, Jess smiled at Lucy before she leaned back against the nearest wall and closed her eyes for a few moments opening them up after a few seconds. In the last few days she had a migraine that could have choked a horse or something worse but she was trying not to let it bother her all that much as she figured it was just stress and stress alone.
"So are we all ready now?"

Hearing Jess say that, Rosie knew to just keep her mouth shut until they got to the resturant. Lucy could tell and kept quiet as well. The man that was checking them out was staring at her and looked like he remembered her. 'Lovely. Another fan.' She thought to herself, looking at her younger sister and mouthed what the guy wasn't looking. Do not touch his hands. Because she knew what all men did when they didn't have a live body for them. They would use their hands and Lord only knows if they washed them or not and not wanting her sister catching something, she did that.
The guy was then trying to get her to say that she was Wild Rose, and before they left she just nodded with a forced smile. "Yep. That's me." Rosie told him, giving him a seductive wink before walking away. When she had her back turned to him, she made a face as she got closer to Jess. "God, why did I go into the porno biz?" She asked out loud, when they got outside by her car. "Two reasons. One, you love sex. Two, the bills were starting to build up." Lucy stated, being a smart ass which earned her a playful hit on her arm. Hearing Jess, Rosie nodded. "Yeah, we're ready."

Jess really had to laugh when she caught the 'Do not touch yhis hands' though she did the best that she could to hide it from them although at the same time she had to wonder how much of the man's paycheck went to his entertainment and what exactly he did when he wasn't having said entertainment. chuckling to herself she shook her head as they started outside, almost glad for the clear weather they were having and the fact that it was warm. So alright her mind was wondering but in some cases that was probably far better than what the alternative might possibly have been.
Looking toward her car she decided they could simply walk across the street rather than driving, digging her wallet out of her purse she tucked it into the back pocket of her jeans along with her cell phone before opening her trunk and dropping the rest of it in.
"Well but you have to think if the bills had continued to pile up than you would have been in trouble, besides how many people get the chance to say they do what they love and get paid for it," she teased as she looked over at Lucy and then smiled. "Speaking of I do beleive my Mom has a few things for you and Lucy, she picked them up while we were on vacation and told me that she thought you'd like them. Though she wouldn't tell me what they were and you now with my mother that does worry me sometimes." She joked, particulally joked because at times her mother did worry her.
Watching as a younger couple walked past them holding hands and appearing to be very much happy and in love, Jess rolled her eyes before she glared. Maybe she was a little bitter, she couldn't even get a guy to sleep with her on a friends with benefits basis, her attempt at a relationship had failed miserably, and so anyone that was that cute and cuddly rubbed her very much the wrong way at that moment and time.
"I'm starving, I warn you of that now I might just order everything. Mom had nothing in her house to eat. Which makes me wonder how much attention my brother actually pays to her," she offered as she shook her head.

Rosie's crystal blue eyes glared at her friend, hearing what she said about her working. "Well but you have to think if the bills had continued to pile up than you would have been in trouble, besides how many people get the chance to say they do what they love and get paid for it," Rolling her eyes, she laughed softly. "Bite me, bitch." She said, in a playful way. She would always do that with her friends and they would always catch on and call her something back. Then, hearing about her Mother, she chippered right up. Same with Lucy, since she's been in Charming with her. Jess's mom would treat them like family so, it was nice to hear about her. "Oh! What'd she get us?" Lucy asked, bouncing up and down with a huge grin on her face before stopping and clearing her throat, as she blushed.
Catching onto what Jess said about her being worried about her Mom and her, Rosie just laughed, shaking her head. "Relax, it's not like I'm teaching her new things that she could do to a man in the sack. Oops, secret's out!" She joked, covering her mouth when she said that. Just to toy with her best friend. Then, noticing the couple and how Jess reacted, she put her arm on her shoulder with a smile as they walked to the resturant. "Don't you worry, Jess. Later, you and I are hitting the bars and clubs for some real fun." Rosie told her, being the good friend.
"I'm starving, I warn you of that now I might just order everything. Mom had nothing in her house to eat. Which makes me wonder how much attention my brother actually pays to her," And being nosy, she had to open her mouth again. "I've never met your brother and I've never seen any pictures of him."

"Oh see I love it when you tell me to bite you Rosie, but do you really think we should be doing that in front of Lucy," Jess fired back before she let out a laugh, it was nice to be able to let go and just joke around and not have to take everything so damn seriously.
As they made thier way across the street Jess dug in her wallet until she pulled out the picture handing it to Rosie. It was Seth in uniform and one of the only one's she bothered to keep because a.) he didn't have some half dressed bimbo in it with him and b.) it was one of the few that he actually looked somewhat happy and not like his normal asshole self. "Oh I don't know about my hitting the bars and the clubs for any real fun, to be honest with the way my luck has been going they might ban me before I even make it through the door," she joked, though in the back of her mind the idea of getting out did have it's merits and was starting to sound better and better by the moment.
Once they had made their way to the resteraunt Jess sat down at one of the seats outside before she looked back between the two red heads and then smiled. "Weather's nice enough to sit out here and besides means we can watch how many people walk into poles watching us," she joked before she leaned back in the seat, putting her feet up in the spare chair to the right of her which was the only one not occupied by a body at the moment. Ordering a cup of coffee from the waiter that approached the table Jess went back to looking at the menu in front of her while he chatted up the other two, her mind was more then a million miles away at that moment and time and on the charred remains of her garage in the Indian Hills.

Lucy blushed, closing her eyes when Jess replied to what Rosie said about biting her. The older redhead found it funny and laughed, and teased her little sister on their way across the street. Then, looking over to her friend, she saw the picture she was being handed. Taking the picture, she instantly whistled. "Whoa and I haven't seen him around because?" She asked, handing the picture back. Jess's brother was friggin' hot! "Oh I don't know about my hitting the bars and the clubs for any real fun, to be honest with the way my luck has been going they might ban me before I even make it through the door," Hearing that, Rosie rolled her blue eyes shaking her head. "For Christ's sake, Jess! You need to get out more. And besides, someone needs to get those bats out of your cave, and I know for sure, that is not going to be me." She said, saying the last part in a low voice so it wouldn't catch anyone's attention when they got into the restaurant.
They got to a table outside and the two sisters sat side by side, Lucy got a bit shy when the waiter came up, it being the one Jess was talking about. "I-i-I'll have a coke, please." She stuttered, smiling shyly at the guy which made him smile back. "I'll have a Dr. Pepper." Rosie told him, and taking Jess's order, he left. "Weather's nice enough to sit out here and besides means we can watch how many people walk into poles watching us," Rosie was the first to laugh.

"My brother is a man whore that likes blonde bimbo's," Jess explained before she shrugged her shoulders and then shook her head before she laughed. "Seriously his divorce with his last wife, which was the third by the way was just finalized the other day." She was still angry at him and she wasn't trying to hide that fact either, he had done a dirty rotten thing and she was tired of being under his thumb or him trying to make her under his thumb.
Waiting until the waiter had walked off Jess finally let the laugh out that she had been holding in before she shook her head and then smirked. "The bats in my cave have moved in permenantly, seriously Rosie. I must be doing something wrong either that or I've hit one of those dry spells people talk about." She explained. "I try, and it's like the minute I try they all look at me like I have something on my face, they give me the look of sympathy, or they turn around and look at me and stare at me," she explained before she shook her head. "The last one bailed on me when he found out I was a widow and made the whole stupid I'm angry and going to say something thing. I actually liked that one too," she explained with a shrug before she sighed.
Picking up the menu shje looked over it before she furrowed her brow and then turned it to show Rosie. "They have no idea what their serving." The chicken salad had been marked out to say beef, and then marked out a again to say vegetarian, and then marked out a final time to say chicken again. Laughing Jess shook her head. "You know I think instead of the mystery salad I might just have a sandwich instead."

Listening to Jess speak so harshly but honestly about her own brother, Rosie just nodded, biting her lower lip. "Well, I'll stretch sleeping with him off my list. I don't want to risk getting a disease from him that he got from his bimbo wives." She said, before sighing. Why were all the good looking sexy guys taken? Either that or divorced? Despite her job, she wouldn't mind a nice guy that treats her good and can keep her satisfied in the sack. Lucy was just looking down at the menu, looking at all the things. She was eavesdropping still but, she wasn't going to say anything since she knew how her sister was. Even though she had the feeling that what Rosie said was true, that she wasn't going to touch the cop.
Rosie, then, listened to her friend again about the bats and had to laugh herself. But, was quiet when she heard what happened to her last time she was with a guy. "Tell about a total jerk." She said, taking a huge mental note of picking up Jess next time, she was going out to the clubs. Lucy could stay with her Mom to keep her company.
"They have no idea what their serving." Once Jess said that, Lucy nodded in agreement. "You got that shit right." Lucy spoke up, and Rosie just looked at her and smirked. "Okay, I'm rubbing off on you." She told her younger sister, with a proud smile. "Anyway, might as well get three sandwiches so, no body gets surprised with the salads." Rosie said, as the waiter came up with their drinks.
