Name of Thread: When the hangover passes, the party continues... Characters Involved in Thread: Kate Cliff, Bailey Monroe, Cyrus Hamilton IC Month Thread Occured: June 07 Brief Description of Thread: Kate and Bailey go out in Lodi, and Cyrus gets them into trouble they could have avoided.
Bailey sat outside on a moulding white plastic deck chair with a sneaky suspicion that it was intended for children given that a third of her butt cheek was hanging out over the sides. Her room was located on the second floor of the motel complex which gave her a kick ass view of the picturesque car park.
"Fucking great, Nicko, you lead me to this hell hole?" She seethed to herself, taking a quick gulp of her $10 vodka and wishing she had a chaser. She'd been looking at her phone all afternoon, wondering whether or not she'd be drinking alone tonight or if she'd be trolling the streets trying to find a half way decent bar with that blonde girl, Kate. And while Bailey didn't want to admit it, Kate may very well be her first friend in a very long time - travelling the open road, bouncing from one small town to another was not really an attribute when it comes to establishing solid friendships.

It was amazing just how ‘country’ Charming seemed to be. Being born in Vegas and raised between there and the Indian Hill clubhouse of the Tribe meant that Kate had been exposed to the sex, drugs and rock and roll that Nevada had to offer. Legal prostitution, which the Tribe had a hand in meant she knew plenty of hookers, and they always seemed to know how to have a good time. Vegas had enough bars to keep the hardest of party girls happy, and there was always a bar that catered to what you were looking for. But Charming was full of… well, nothing. Country bars, full of logging mill workers, plaid shirts and bad music. After asking her sister, (bad idea) and getting no good answer, she thumbed through the phone book for bars in the area. As it was, there was a decent bar outside the county, in Lodi. It was only a twenty minute drive, or ride as it were. Finally satisfied with this being a half decent thing to aim for, she rang the number Bailey had given her earlier that day. She explained there was shit for good bars in Charming, but had found something in Lodi, and that maybe they should go together on her bike. Bailey had no objections. So Kate grabbed her sister’s old helmet, stuffed the tall girl’s white tank top into it, threw something half decent on and rode over to the motel Bailey said she was staying at. She pulled into an empty parking spot near Bailey’s Impala and threw her stand down. She spotted the brunette perched in a folding chair on the second floor, and waved her down. Outfit

Bailey heard the rumble of the bikes engine and felt a rush of excitement for both a good night out and for the sheer fact that she hadn't been on a decent bike in years. Kate waved her down, leaping out of the god forsaken chair she leaned over the railing and yelled down "Hold up, I'll be two secs!" She grinned and ran back to the room.
Pulling on her grey suede biker jacket and another pair of heavily studded boots (she never wore heels, while she enjoyed getting noticed she also enjoyed pulling guys and that did not happen if you were 6'4 in heels). Taking a quick glance in the mirror she wondered if her mini, floral dress would be appropriate for a bike ride and then she realised she didn't care, if people wanted to make a fuss about seeing a little bit of skin, well damn let em!
She was out the door and bounding down the stairs with the exuberance of a puppy. "Hey dude!" she greeted the petite blonde, "you have no idea how happy I am that you called, I haven't been out in, well shit, a loooonnnng time!"

Kate flipped up the front of her helmet for some air and leaned forward across her handle bars while she waited for Bailey. The bike rumbled impatiently beneath her, unhappy to be idling so low. When Bailey arrived in the parking lot, obviously happy to be going out, it made Kate smile. It was always good when someone was genuinely happy to be spending time with you.
“No problem,” she replied. “It was either this, or repeat last night with the Sons. And while I do so enjoy perving on Jax, it’ll be nice to do a girl’s night.” She turned around and grabbed the spare helmet which had been clipped onto her saddle bag. She showed her the shirt, then stuffed it into the saddle bag, to be forgotten about, but knowing that she’d made the effort to bring it back.

"Perving on Mr Teller huh, well shit miss lady, me and you are going to get on like a house on fire, perving is what I do best," she smiled cheekily. Kate offered her the helmet and she took it, giving Kate a quick smirk when she noticed her shirt.
"You remembered!"
Bailey touched the bike and whistled with admiration, "seeing how great this baby looks almost makes me wana return to the good ol days of two wheels."

Kate smirked, a cheeky kind of look, which (to those who knew her) indicated trouble. Trouble with a capital T. A smirk that her dad said ‘o’ oh’ to, a smirk that her exes dreaded, a smirk that meant Kate was going to have a damned good time tonight. It was cut short though, when Bailey mentioned that she’d remembered the shirt.
“I may not have remembered how I got into it, but being sober helped me remember to return it.”
A pang of pride ran through the blonde when Bailey admired her bike, and her smirk threatened to return. “Well if we get to Lodi and I haven’t put the fear of god into you, it’ll be a good sign. Let’s go.”

Bailey saw the spark in Kate's eye, she knew that look, hell she could damn near mirror it after a shot and a good beat in a bar. Oh yes tonight was going to be a helluva night!
"don't worry I'm much tougher than I look," Bailey joked, "its gunna be weird having a hot blonde in front rather than some sweaty middle aged biker though!"
Wrapping her arms around the Kate's small waist, she gave a quick smirk wondering how this would look to outsiders - a tiny blonde weilding a Harley with an Amazon on the back showing way too much skin. ------------------------------------------------
The ride was way too short, but Bailey was too excited to start the night to feel too much regret. The low growl of the engine had already attracted stares and once Bailey and Kate removed their helmets a definate feeling of being oogled descended upon her. It was dark now and she could hear the music undulating, swelling and pulsating underneath her feet. "C'mon!" she bellowed, grabbing Kate's forearm, "first round is on me!"

Kate was used to being stared at when she was on her Harley, but she had to admit she knew the sight tonight was probably stare worthy. When they pulled up at their destination, it was getting dark, and the youth of Lodi were starting to bustle about, heading for their watering holes. Kate barely paid attention to onlookers as she was practically dragged into their destination. Stuffing her keys in her pocket as she was tugged along, they made their way into the bar. It wasn’t too loud, since it was still early, but it was enough to make you need to raise your voice, and that suited Kate just fine.
Following Bailey, wondering what she would have to drink first, they arrived at the bar and Kate pulled up a stool, if only to be closer to the height of Bailey for conversation’s sake. A lanky blonde girl came up to them after a few moments and asked them what they wanted to drink, Kate answered for her portion of the order.
“Jacks and coke thanks.”

After Kate had ordered hers, Bailey leant across the bar and yelled over the increasing volume of the music "a vodka and coke, please!" She handed the lanky bar tender, with a set of alarmingly false tits, a wad of cash and leant against the beer soaked counter in order to lessen the height difference between the pair.
Taking a gentle sip, not wanting to get too ahead of herself, she surveyed the room, at this point the men to women ratio was distinct with women still probably at home applying their fake tan and make up, not to worry it meant less competition for her, not that that was ever much of an issue. And for this early the pickings were quite good, very good indeed....
"So little miss, what's your story, how did this sorta life fall into your tiny little lap?" Bailey saw that Kate was about to answer how ever she was interupted by an extremely drunk male patron, falling nearly head first into her lap. Bailey tensed getting ready to do what ever she needed to do in order to look out for her new friend. She was about to grab the guys shirt collar when she noticed what she assumed to be the guys friends, sauntering over, equally drunk, with stares that gave away their raging libidos. "Oh man, seriously?!" She murmered under her breath.

Cyrus had been tailing Kate, back from when she left Indian Hills, not because he was a stalker or anything, he was ordered by Jury to watch over her. He didn't decline, or complain about his task, being that he had been watching over her for a while now. After that night, when Kate was raped, Jury didn't want to take anymore chances, having Kate protected at all times.
Cyrus remembered that night, being the one who disposed of the man, not feeling any remorse, even if he was another brother. Waking up by the sound of her scream, pushing the girl that was on top of him off, rushing to the room where Kate was. Jury gave Cyrus the look, signaling him to take care of it, walking to the man, knowing what was coming. Cyrus jabbed the man on the chin, watching him hit the ground, not moving. Getting another brother to help, dragging the man outside, taking him to a place a few miles away from the clubhouse. Putting on a black glove, so he wouldn't leave finger prints on the gun. The pistol had a silencer, hearing the man plea for his life, but he didn't care at this point. Putting three points in his head.
Jury called the Sons, notifying them of Cyrus' business in Charming, granting Kate and himself safe passage to Charming. Riding his bike, throughout Charming, never really taking the time to look around, seeing that there wasn't much. He had a lot of respect for the Sons, liking how they took care of business.
He made sure to keep his distance between Kate, and himself. Wearing a black t-shirt, with his colors over it, having the clubs patch on his back. Attached to his waist, was his knife, having a combat knife with him, just as protection. Seeing Kate meet up with up with another girl, who he had seen before, but never really paid attention to her, knowing that she was around Kate's age. Watching the two ride off towards Lodi, he continued to follow them.
Seeing them stop at a bar, he parked his bike right next to hers, just getting their a few minutes that they did. Walking casually into the bar, having a rather serious expression, while seeing the handful of girls in the room, making eye contact with him. Searching the room, spotting them at the bar, he saw that some man had his head in Kate's lap. He knew he was drunk, but Cyrus didn't care, walking angrily to them. Grabbing the man by the back of his neck, gripping it tightly, thrusting him off, clenching his fist, launching it to hit the mans nose. Most likely breaking it, watching his surroundings in case he had buddies around.
"Kate, what the hell you doing out here, all the way in Lodi? And who is your friend?" He asked. Having his attention to the rest in the bar, seeing if anyone was going to backup the guy he knocked out. "I think we should leave, don't you think?" Cyrus said sarcastically, keeping his eyes on the girls, having one more girl to watch over.

The guy was gruff, the guy was sacrastic, the guy was definately someone a preppy idiot like the dude in Kate's lap should not be messing with. Great, she thought, just one normal night out, just one fun, normal night out devoid of any violence. She loved her uncle Chibs, she loved the Sons they were family....but like most family sometimes you just needed a quick break.
"Friend is called Bailey, and us three, should definately be leaving," she agreed, pointing the man's attention toward the group of guys sauntering over with psuedo macho persuasions, "cos that guy looked like he brought friends out."

When Cyrus announced his presence by reefing the drunk man off of her, Kate couldn’t help but look a little dumbfounded. What the hell was the Sgt. at Arms doing in Lodi acting as her bouncer? She knew that Cyrus kept an eye on her (her dad had always been overprotective), but she didn’t think it extended to following her when she went to California. He barked at her, and she blinked at him with wide, blank eyes for a moment before Bailey announced that they definitely should be leaving.
She didn’t move, and finally she felt the annoyance rise in her enough to bark back at Cyrus, something she did not that often, out of respect and maybe a little fear. “What the hell are you doing here Cyrus!?” She ignored the fact that there were half a dozen angry looking drunks now fumbling their way across the bar towards them, she ignored the look on Cyrus’ face, and she ignored the danger that was looming over them.
“Please don’t tell me my dad sent you all the way out here to babysit my fucking ass!”

He knew he was wrong to yell at her, since she didn't do anything wrong, but she shouldn't be going out so far without someone keeping an eyes out on her. As she barked back at him, he was a bit scared of her, seeing how she could get when she was mad. He barely saw her act like that, since she was usually nice around, he thinks its because he was never in this sort of predicament with her before. This really wasn't the time to be going off on each other, being that they had a few drunks wanting to beat someones ass, and that ass was Cyrus'.
The truth was, Cyrus could care less that a bunch of people were ready to fight, it was the fact, that he would be putting Kate, and her friend in trouble. "I think you know the answer to that, Kate. Right now, let's hold off the questions, and concentrate of what's happening now." He told her calmly, trying to calm her down a bit. They came closer, as Cyrus rushed to pick up a stool near him, ready to use it as a weapon to push back the drunks. "He is just trying to keep you safe, so can we talk about this shit later, Kate!" Cyrus told, not taking her attitude anymore, as he charged forward, swinging the stool at them, knocking a few down.
"Come on! Start running! Get on your bike, take your Bailey and head back to Charming, or just go outside!" He instructed, attempting to move them out of the bar. He had his knife with him, but decided not to spill blood of drunk people, since he felt a bit bad for them. They started to rush at him, throwing punches, as he felt a few touch him, responding back with a swing of the stool, then a kick from his boot. It was kind of like when swat kicks a door down, just seeing it bust open, hitting the ground hard. This wasn't how he planned the night, but nothing goes as planned anymore.

She felt herself being pushed rather unceremoniously out the bar's door. 'Sweet, we've got ourselves a baby sitter," she mumbled under her breath, although she did feel a wave of relief wash over her. Bailey may have been big, she may have been strong and capable of a good bit of damage, but no matter what she was still a female and there was no way she could take on six or seven guys bare handed, without a gun or her blades. She gripped Kate's arm as the cold air hit her barely clothed frame, she wasn't counting on that, she was supposed to be drunk or at least tipsy enough to not feel the cold by this point. Things never go according to plan..... Suddenly and rather painfully something smacked her directly in the back of the head, going down like a ton of bricks Bailey rolled across the rough ashphalt just in time to dodge a powerful kick.
"Son of a bitch!" She yelped, slightly disorientated and looking wildly around for the next hit. Pulling herself up she saw a flash of something and ducked, lunging forward to tackle who she hoped was the person who'd inflicted the first blow. The guy was a good couple of inches shorter than her, a positive in this night of wonderous negatives and as she wrestled him to the ground she realised, she didn't know what the hell had happened to Kate.....

Kate grit her teeth and walked very briskly out the front door of the bar while Cyrus dealt with the drunks who wanted to inflict damage on him. She knew he’d be fine, the guy was built like a brick shit house and he handled all the physical things for the Tribe, half a dozen drunks were child’s play to Cyrus. What she hadn’t counted on was a drunk following them out. She saw a flash of something and Bailey went toppling forward and into the road. Kate’s grip was ripped away from her new friend and she shouted at the man to stop before he got himself killed.
She could see Bailey was dazed and confused, and Kate was unarmed and a foot shorter than the drunk who was assaulting the brunette in the street. As it happened, the guy had probably bitten off more than he could chew, as Bailey lunged at him and tackled him to the ground. In order to help out, Kate rushed over and aided Bailey by kicking the guy about the head and shoulders, shouting at him for being a woman hitting prick.
And all they’d wanted to do was have a few drinks.
